Program Officer

About the role

The Program Officer will support the Lifting Futures initiative, a $30 million workforce development program funded by the GE Aerospace Foundation and implemented by FHI 360. The role focuses on advancing advanced manufacturing training for aerospace, strengthening community engagement, and generating knowledge to close the industry labor gap.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall project management support, maintaining work plans, calendars, distribution lists, and dashboards.
• Plan and schedule meetings, coordinate team travel logistics, and track action items and milestones.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools such as risk trackers and decision logs.
• Draft updates for core project documents, client deliverables, presentations, and summary reports.
• Ensure compliance with GE Aerospace, FHI 360, and project policies.
• Assist in creating and implementing a communications plan for the program.
• Perform additional administrative and special project duties as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in public policy, international development, education, workforce development, or economic development.
