Site Supervisor - Beach and Coastal Works

About the role

The Site Supervisor will oversee daily beach nourishment and coastal protection activities, ensuring that all construction work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, specifications, environmental requirements, and the project schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise beach construction tasks such as sand placement, transportation, grading, and profiling.
• Manage the construction of groynes, breakwaters, and other coastal structures.
• Oversee installation of geotextiles, HDPE pipes, rock, concrete, and related protection materials.
• Coordinate daily operations with subcontractors, marine crews, plant operators, surveyors, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress against the approved plan, report delays, and verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Check material quantities delivered and incorporated, and verify beach levels, profiles, and final grades with the survey team.
• Inspect workmanship, identify non‑conforming work, and enforce health & safety procedures.
• Implement environmental controls such as turbidity reduction, silt curtains, and sediment management.
• Maintain daily site records, conduct toolbox meetings, and support progress measurement for payments.
