Assistant Vice President – Individual Life Sales

About the role

Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead individual life insurance sales across its branches, the Cayman Islands, and brokerage channels. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Sales North, you will shape strategy, drive performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to branches, sales managers and financial advisors.
• Develop and execute annual market strategies with branch managers to meet production targets.
• Prepare and analyse monthly production figures by agent, branch and company.
• Monitor business conservation and initiate follow‑up actions.
• Conduct gap analyses, recommend training, and ensure product knowledge across the sales force.
• Coordinate market intelligence, monitor competitors and design competitive strategies.
• Manage day‑to‑day sales administration, competitions, and award processes.
• Prepare monthly sales performance reports for senior management.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance, AML, fraud policies and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Management Studies, Marketing or equivalent.
• FLMI or other insurance‑specific designation.
• Minimum three years of managerial experience in marketing and sales within a financial services organization.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and the CAPSIL system.
• Proficiency with standard computer software packages (word processing and spreadsheets).
