Auditor – Internal Audit Unit

About the role

The National Land Agency is seeking a qualified Auditor to join its Internal Audit Unit. Reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, the role supports the Senior Auditor in evaluating financial and operational activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Examine financial and operational transactions, records and documents for compliance with laws, regulations, policies and internal rules.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify weaknesses.
• Prepare reports summarising audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the Senior Auditor and Chief Audit Executive in planning and executing audit assignments.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Management or Accounting with a focus on auditing, or ACCA Level 2 qualification.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in auditing or accounting.
• Strong understanding of Jamaican financial regulations and internal control frameworks.
