Auto Loan Collections and Customer Service Associate

About the role

Sutherland is hiring a full-time Auto Loan Collections and Customer Service Associate in Portmore, Jamaica. The role handles calls with existing customers, helps them understand their account status and arrange payments, and works to keep customers' credit standing strong. Experience in collections, sales or customer service is an asset.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound or outbound calls with existing customers and explain account status
• Help customers solve problems and arrange payments, including contacting delinquent customers
• Overcome objections and help customers understand their account and responsibilities
• Provide customer service to those needing help with unexpected financial obligations
• Maintain positive working relationships with the Loan Servicing team and meet or exceed production goals
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older
• Minimum of 3-4 CXC/GCE subjects including English, or a US high school diploma or GED (English required)
• Valid government ID, TRN and NIS card
• Flexible availability to work any day and any assigned shift, including weekends and public holidays
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test, and to train or work onsite
• Experience in customer service is an asset

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening
• Basic PC keyboarding and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); CRM experience preferred
• Multi-tasking, prioritisation and time management
• Troubleshooting and tech-savvy approach
