Automotive Technician

About the role

The Automotive Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and rescuing vehicles on the road in Jamaica. The role requires high-quality workmanship, accurate record‑keeping and proactive communication with customers to ensure their needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair, routine maintenance and roadside rescue operations.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure a high first‑time fix rate.
• Communicate with customers during vehicle handover, understand their needs and provide customized solutions.
• Coordinate with relevant personnel to obtain support when necessary.
• Participate in skill‑improvement courses, regular trainings and technical exchange meetings.
• Obtain relevant grade certifications and complete any temporary service tasks assigned by the company.

Required profile

• Working experience in bus repair or after‑sales service.
• Proficient mechanical and electrical knowledge, able to independently complete vehicle inspection, fault diagnosis and maintenance.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Preferred: Valid Category 1 or Category 2 registered electrician license issued by the Jamaica Government Electrical Regulator.
