Body Shop Supervisor

About the role

As Body Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the body shop, ensuring repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will lead a small team of technicians, manage workflow, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of body shop technicians and support staff.
• Ensure all repair work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
• Manage workflow and prioritize repair jobs to maximize efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed work.
• Provide training and guidance to technicians to enhance their skills.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on repair status and address concerns.
• Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum five years experience as a Body Shop Supervisor or similar role in the automotive industry.
• At least five years dealership experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of body shop operations, repair techniques, insurance claims process and equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Customer‑focused with a commitment to delivering high‑quality service.
• Valid driver’s licence.
