Building Officer – Level 6 (Corporate Services Division)

About the role

The Building Officer will prepare and oversee repairs and maintenance of residential properties owned by the Commissioner of Lands. The role also involves coordinating maintenance, repairs and servicing of units together with associated furniture and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee repairs and maintenance of residential properties owned by the Commissioner of Lands.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs and servicing of units and all associated furniture and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility or Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Certificate in Supervisory Management or Management Studies.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a supervisory position.
• Working knowledge of Government of Jamaica procurement procedures and guidelines.
• Project management certification training is an asset.
