Business Development and Programmes Officer

About the role

The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica is seeking a proactive Business Development and Programmes Officer to identify and advance strategic opportunities that enhance member value, deepen stakeholder engagement, and support impactful programmes for Jamaica’s private sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and support strategic programmes, partnerships and business development opportunities aligned with PSOJ priorities.
• Research and pursue donor, grant, sponsorship, multilateral and private‑sector funding opportunities.
• Prepare concept notes, proposals, sponsorship pitches, donor submissions, partner briefs, reports and presentations.
• Coordinate programme implementation, including workplans, budgets, timelines, consultants and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, opportunity pipelines, partner databases and programme documentation.
• Use research, stakeholder feedback and market intelligence to recommend new programmes and collaborations.
• Represent PSOJ professionally at meetings, forums and stakeholder engagements.
