Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will promote the sale of general insurance software solutions across the Caribbean region, targeting both new and existing insurers, brokers and MGAs. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and retaining existing accounts while supporting the company’s modernisation efforts around cloud, automation, AI and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main sales contact for the allocated Caribbean area and achieve the region’s financial targets.
• Design and implement sales strategies, working with senior management to deliver sales plans.
• Plan, monitor and control the work of sales teams, qualifying new sales leads.
• Develop and maintain executive‑level customer relationships and own the new‑business pipeline.
• Lead the bid process, maintaining customer contact during and after the selling process.
• Oversee promotional and selling activities to align with corporate marketing objectives.
• Approve medium‑scale proposals and negotiate technical and commercial issues with senior client representatives.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure proper customer assistance and manage all sales support activities, including technical content of bids and proposals.
• Manage day‑to‑day client services, define service levels and resolve client service issues.

Required profile

• Responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and solving problems.
• Ability to identify, evaluate and recommend options, implementing solutions where required.
• Experience collaborating with and facilitating stakeholder groups in formal or informal consultancy settings.
