Chief Audit Executive

About the role

The National Land Agency is seeking a Chief Audit Executive to lead its Internal Audit Unit. Reporting directly to the CEO/Commissioner of Lands, you will shape the audit culture across the agency and its regional offices, ensuring robust governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the internal audit vision, strategy, and standards in line with GOJ financial and operational policies.
• Oversee audit planning, execution, and reporting to the Internal Audit Committee and senior management.
• Ensure all audit work complies with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing audit team, fostering continuous professional development.
• Provide independent assurance on risk management, control effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 3 qualification.
• Diploma in Supervisory Management.
• Minimum five (5) years of senior‑level experience in auditing or commercial accounting.
• Proven ability to lead audit functions within a public‑sector environment.
