Deputy Executive Director

About the role

The Deputy Executive Director supports the Executive Director in steering the Overseas Examinations Commission toward its strategic goals. This senior leader ensures operational excellence across examination administration, document imaging, and educational support services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee organisational structure, staff development and resource optimisation.
• Lead policy formulation and implementation for HR, Finance and Technology, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Drive transformation initiatives to enhance relevance and sustainability.
• Supervise audit recommendation implementation and monitor performance metrics.
• Advise the Executive Director and Management Team on operational developments.
• Act as Executive Director in their absence and represent the organisation at public events.
• Prepare Board of Directors minutes and manage annual budgeting and financial submissions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Management, Educational Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in an educational institution or policy‑making body.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning and cross‑departmental alignment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in technology fundamentals.
• Experience with examination management systems and procedures.
