Director of Food and Beverage

About the role

The Director of Food and Beverage oversees and manages the planning, direction and coordination of all food and beverage activities at the resort. The role calls for strong leadership, strategic planning and execution experience, and a proven record of managing diverse teams across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor short- and long-term strategic plans and budgets for the food and beverage department.
• Oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory management, vendor relationships, staff training and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with sanitary, safety and health regulations, as well as industry standards and certifications.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to find growth opportunities, improve efficiency and streamline processes.
• Lead and support subordinate managers and their teams toward departmental goals.
• Review performance data regularly to spot trends, areas for improvement and innovation opportunities.

Required profile

• 15 or more years of work experience, including 5 to 7 years in management.
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Experience providing leadership through managers at various levels and being accountable for results across one or more locations.

Required skills

• ServSafe Food Handler certification.
• HACCP knowledge.
• Additional certifications may be required or preferred.
