Executive Committee Member & Youth Advisor – Volunteer

About the role

The Executive Committee Member & Youth Advisor role with the QS ImpACT Kingston Council is a part‑time, hybrid volunteer position. Based in Portland, Jamaica, you will support strategic planning, council governance, and the delivery of SDG‑focused community initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in shaping the council’s strategic direction and governance as a member of the executive body.
• Coordinate and facilitate monthly or bi‑monthly council meetings, including interactive activities, webinars, and guest speakers.
• Lead local mobilisation for flagship global events such as the Global Day of Action and the annual Skills Challenge.
• Collaborate on the design, evaluation, and advisory of quarterly community events and programmes.
• Plan and support fundraising and resource‑mobilisation activities in Kingston and Portland.
• Represent the council to build networks with local stakeholders and inspire other young changemakers.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
• Demonstrated interest in UN SDGs, especially education, climate action, responsible consumption, and community development.
• Passion for youth empowerment, sustainability, and social impact; aged 18‑35 and residing in or connected to Jamaica.
• Willingness to contribute volunteer hours to meetings, strategic planning, and fundraising events.
