Financial Reporting Accountant

About the role

The Financial Reporting Accountant supports the General Ledger accounting team, collaborates with business partners at all levels, and ensures that accounting processes are executed on time and with high quality. The role provides regular reporting and analysis to key stakeholders while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Support the review of general ledger reconciliations and preliminary trial balances.
• Assist with period‑end close activities, including management adjustments and key GL close tasks.
• Perform internal control testing and provide external audit support.
• Develop and maintain standard procedures, templates, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Record and report accounting transactions, supporting P&L and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Analyze and reconcile balances, revenue, and cost accounting.
• Assist with intercompany processing when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience, including general ledger and intercompany work.
• Professional accounting qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (US GAAP / IFRS) and tax reporting.
• Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methodologies is desired.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Lean Six Sigma exposure.
