Head of Finance – Insurance & Investments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially‑minded Head of Finance to lead financial management, planning, reporting and performance across our insurance and investment operations. The role provides strategic financial leadership, ensures regulatory compliance and delivers decision‑support information to the CEO, executive team and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the finance strategy, translating business goals into budgets, forecasts and performance targets.
• Lead annual budgeting, long‑term financial planning and variance analysis, monitoring revenue, expenses, cash flow and profitability.
• Oversee insurance finance functions, including premiums, claims, reserves, commissions and underwriting performance, ensuring solvency and capital adequacy.
• Manage investment portfolios and treasury activities, providing analysis for investment decisions, cash management and funding requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls and coordinate audit and regulatory processes.
• Develop and maintain risk‑management frameworks, guaranteeing compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory obligations.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, improving processes, systems, automation and data‑driven reporting.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably within insurance and investment environments.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to translate strategy into financial plans.
• Deep technical finance expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and risk management.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a track record of building and motivating finance teams.
