IT Support Specialist & Retail Pro Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist who will also act as a Retail Pro Consultant for our retail network across Jamaica. The role combines on‑site field assistance with remote troubleshooting to keep desktop equipment, network infrastructure, and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site field support and remote assistance for retail stores and corporate users throughout Jamaica.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, POS terminals, barcode scanners, thermal receipt printers, and cash drawers.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including Wi‑Fi, router, and switch problems at store locations.
• Support and maintain Retail Pro (v8/v9/Prism) POS software to ensure continuous sales, billing, and inventory synchronization.
• Collaborate with regional IT managers and tier‑3 support teams to address complex incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on IT/Desktop support experience, preferably in a field or retail environment.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting retail POS technologies.
• 1–2 years of direct experience with Retail Pro or comparable enterprise POS/ERP systems.
• Current residence in Jamaica with ability to travel to store sites.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.
