Public Sector & Field Logistics Consultant (Jamaica)

About the role

Equilibrium is seeking a Local Consultant with 7+ years of proven experience in the Jamaican public sector and in fieldwork coordination to join the technical team for a bid in Jamaica. Particular value will be placed on knowledge of Jamaican public institutions, experience in evaluations of projects financed by multilateral organizations, and the ability to manage field logistics and engagement with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate field logistics, including interview schedules, focus groups, service‑center visits, and travel arrangements.
• Coordinate and supervise in‑field data processing and ensure data quality.
• Manage community relations and coordinate with local and institutional stakeholders.
• Record, systematize, and report field findings.

Required profile

• Jamaican nationality or residency (or English‑speaking Caribbean with work experience in Jamaica) and availability for fieldwork across parishes.
• 7+ years of experience in the public sector, government consulting, or development projects in Jamaica or the Caribbean.
• Participation in at least two evaluations, studies, or data‑collection exercises for projects financed by multilateral organizations within the last seven years.
• Experience in at least one role such as Field Coordinator, Researcher/Evaluator, or Local Consultant/Specialist.
• Native or professional‑level English for interviews and technical reports; no involvement in the NIDS project during the last ten years.
