Sales Promoter – Retail & Paint Specialist

About the role

The Sales Promoter works in a Sherwin‑Williams retail/hardware store, helping wholesale and retail customers select the right paint products, providing expert advice, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Sherwin‑Williams decorative, automotive and industrial paint lines and advise customers on product selection.
• Mix and tint paints to customer specifications and prepare color chips for the Color Studio.
• Assist customers in person and by phone, determine their needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Process sales transactions accurately, maintain work order files and ensure store displays are stocked and visually appealing.
• Load/unload delivery trucks, assist with deliveries and keep the sales floor organized.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 CXC passes including English and Mathematics or equivalent high school qualification.
• At least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in Jamaica and able to lift up to 50 lb regularly (up to 100 lb occasionally).
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
• For internal candidates, a recent “meets expectations” performance rating and completion of required HR Cloud e‑learning.

Required skills

• Paint mixing and tinting using Sherwin‑Williams equipment.
• Operation of tinting and mixing machinery.
• Use of ONSET retail system and HR Cloud learning platform.
