Store Associate – Retail Sales Role

About the role

As a Store Associate you will be the front‑line representative of Sherwin‑Williams, helping wholesale and retail customers find the right paint solutions. You will ensure a welcoming store environment, maintain product displays, and support the achievement of sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in‑store and over the phone, identifying needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Process sales transactions accurately following company policies.
• Maintain product knowledge, stay up‑to‑date on new features, and communicate options to customers.
• Stock shelves, set up displays, and keep the store, warehouse, and office clean and organized.
• Mix and tint paints to customer specifications and pull items from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries as needed.
• Track work orders, maintain precise files, and follow inventory control procedures.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, GCE/CXC CSEC with passing grades in Math & English).
• Ability to lift 50 lb frequently and up to 70 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• If internal, a recent performance rating of “meets expectations” or higher.

• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving merchandise.
