Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

KPMG in the Caribbean is looking for a dynamic, results‑oriented Tax Assistant Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day execution of tax compliance and advisory engagements across multiple industries.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns, tax computations, deferred tax calculations, VAT returns and withholding tax filings.
• Research domestic, regional and international tax legislation and provide practical recommendations.
• Support corporate restructurings, acquisitions, tax planning, transfer pricing and cross‑border transactions.
• Liaise with tax authorities on assessments, objections, audits and clearances.
• Assist audit teams with tax provision reviews and financial statement disclosures.
• Monitor legislative changes and communicate implications to teams and clients.
• Prepare engagement budgets, track progress, manage WIP and support billing processes.
• Ensure compliance with KPMG quality standards and risk management protocols.
• Supervise, coach and review work of Associates.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client engagements.
• Proactive, motivated and able to work collaboratively with managers and directors.
