Tool Design Engineer – Mechanical Design & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Tool Design Engineer to support our customers in solving production‑related challenges. You will create new concepts and solutions together with Production and Process Engineers, managing the full design lifecycle from initial idea to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tool design concepts for automation, production and industrial applications.
• Produce technical solutions, detailed designs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers and end‑users throughout the project.
• Lead commissioning activities and ensure successful hand‑over.
• Participate in projects primarily in Sweden, with opportunities in other European countries and Asia.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or higher) or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of relevant work experience; recent graduates may also be considered.
• Hands‑on experience in production environments is a plus.
• Background in the automotive industry and/or robotics is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently, act commercially and build strong customer relationships.
• Strong interest in technology and problem‑solving.
