Vice President, Finance & Administration

About the role

The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean seeks a strategic and transformational leader to serve as Vice President, Finance & Administration. Reporting directly to the President, this senior executive will join the university’s executive leadership team and drive financial sustainability, operational excellence, and risk management across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance institutional effectiveness and financial sustainability.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and ensure balanced operating budgets with robust financial controls.
• Provide strategic oversight of administrative operations, optimizing resource allocation and service delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors and its committees, delivering accurate, decision‑focused financial and governance information.
• Manage the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and reporting.
• Champion digital transformation of administrative processes to improve efficiency, data governance and executive decision support.
• Strengthen internal control systems, compliance and financial governance to achieve positive audit outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven senior executive experience in finance, administration and strategic leadership within a complex organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets, financial reporting and risk management frameworks.
• Experience serving as a senior liaison to a governing board or similar oversight body.
• Strong track record of driving operational improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
