Accountant

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily financial operations in Rose Hall, Montego Bay. The role involves handling expenses, reconciliations, payroll, and vendor payments for a hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

• Enter daily expenses, reconcile bank statements, and send bank balances for all accounts.
• Process payments through Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe and verify guest payment status.
• Prepare and execute fortnightly payroll for staff and service providers.
• Generate weekly payables reports, verify supplier invoices and execute payments.
• Maintain petty cash, handle bank deposits and reconcile credit‑card sales.
• Assist with inventory ordering, PO management and invoice filing.
• File monthly GCT, statutory tax deductions and annual property tax for Jamaican properties.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong written and spoken English and ability to work independently under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience handling online payment platforms (Stripe, Hostaway, Airbnb).
