Assistant Surveyor – Surveys & Mapping Division

About the role

The National Land Agency is seeking an Assistant Surveyor to support its Surveys & Mapping Division. Reporting to senior geodetic or hydrographic surveyors, the successful candidate will help execute field surveys and produce accurate mapping products.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior geodetic and hydrographic surveyors in planning and conducting field surveys.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of the Geodetic Control Network.
• Help produce topographic plans and hydrographic smooth sheets.
• Collect, process, and verify survey data in the field and office.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• BSc Degree in Land Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
• OR Diploma in Land Surveying with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Valid Seaman’s Certificate of Nationality.

Required skills

• Land surveying techniques.
• Geodetic control network establishment and maintenance.
• Topographic plan production.
• Hydrographic survey sheet preparation.
