Director of Child Development Center

About the role

The Director leads the daily operations of The Sandbox Child Development Center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This full‑time position oversees staff, finances, curriculum, and compliance while building strong relationships with families and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, supervise, and train teaching and support staff.
• Develop and manage the center’s budget, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict adherence to state health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Oversee program design, curriculum implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, address concerns, and promote parent engagement.
• Lead business operations, including enrollment, marketing, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience directing a child development or early‑childhood center.
• Degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience, including state‑specific regulations.
• Completed health and safety training relevant to child‑care settings.
