Early Childhood Teacher (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teacher to join our early‑childhood team at Abernethy Memorial Child Development Center. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5:30 pm, and involves supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, welcoming and fun learning environment for children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and supervision.
• Implement age‑appropriate curricula and promote social, emotional and cognitive development.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, center policies and health‑safety standards.
• Prepare classroom materials, document observations and communicate with families as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Child‑care credential, certificate, or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
