Facilities Personnel

About the role

itel is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Facilities Personnel in Kingston who will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation and presentation of office and building spaces. This is an on-site, full-time position that may rotate depending on operational needs, and candidates must be flexible to any 8-hour shift, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and restock restrooms, kitchens and breakroom areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust offices, hallways, lobbies, stairwells and other common areas
• Clean glass surfaces such as windows, doors and partitions
• Remove trash and recyclables from bins and dispose of them properly
• Disinfect high-touch areas like door handles, railings, elevator buttons and communal equipment
• Spot-clean carpets and hard flooring as needed
• Maintain outdoor entrance areas and walkways
• Help set up or break down rooms for meetings, events or internal functions
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper and soap in bathrooms and kitchens
• Follow safety guidelines and public health standards, keep equipment and storage areas organised and report maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the Facilities Manager

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or institutional cleaning (2-4 years preferred)
• Valid Food Handler's Permit
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
