International Operations Manager (UNFPA) – Kingston

About the role

The International Operations Manager (IOM) supports the delivery of UNFPA’s country programme in Jamaica, ensuring that strategic planning, financial management, procurement, ICT, logistics and common services operate efficiently and align with the UN agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for UNFPA operations and set management targets.
• Oversee financial services, procurement, ICT, travel, logistics and other common services.
• Partner with regional experts on safety, security and human‑resources matters.
• Coordinate with other UN agencies, funds and programmes to implement the Business Operations Strategy.
• Advise the Representative on compliance, cost‑effectiveness and corrective actions.
• Ensure effective administration, joint procurement and support to the Division of Human Resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing multi‑disciplinary operational functions within an international or UN context.
• Strong understanding of UN procurement, financial and ICT policies.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including UN agencies and external partners.
• Commitment to UNFPA’s mission and to upholding international norms and standards.
