Kitchen Team Leader

About the role

The Kitchen Team Leader is a part‑time, on‑site position at Couples Negril in Negril, Jamaica. The role oversees daily kitchen operations, supporting the culinary team in preparing and presenting high‑quality dishes that reflect the resort’s standards and commitment to fresh, local ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate food preparation activities, assign tasks, and monitor production to ensure timely service, proper portioning, and consistent presentation.
• Enforce hygiene and safety practices, assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Collaborate with restaurant and service teams to respond to guest needs.
• Guide, coach, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a positive, efficient work environment.

Required profile

• Strong skills in food preparation and cooking, with experience in high‑volume or resort kitchens.
• Sound knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and proper sanitation practices.
• Previous supervisory or team‑leader experience in culinary or hospitality settings.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
