Network Support Specialist

About the role

The Network Support Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and administering the fixed voice, data, IPTV, IP/MPLS and ISP platforms to meet a 99.99% SLA. The role ensures continuous availability of services for customers and provides Tier‑3 troubleshooting across multiple network domains.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core voice network, Huawei Softswitch, IMS, and Oracle vSBC provisioning.
• Provide 2nd‑level support for ISP services (RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, email) and broadband operations (xDSL, PON, MPLS, Metro‑Ethernet).
• Perform Tier‑3 troubleshooting for voice services, hosted PBX, mobile‑to‑mobile and fixed‑to‑mobile calls.
• Monitor network performance, schedule proactive maintenance, and document backups and incidents.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports, trend analysis, and prepare change requests, RFOs and root‑cause analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with routing protocols, QoS, MPLS, UNIX/Linux, and telecom equipment.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Juniper preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Cisco and Juniper networking (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
• Routing protocols, policy‑based routing, MPLS, QoS.
• UNIX/Linux (Linux, Solaris) and virtualization (VMware).
• Database management (MySQL) and software configuration (OSC Radiator, ISC Bind).
• Experience with Huawei, Nokia, Calix, Adtran, GPON, HFC, VOIP (SIP, H248).
