About the role

Upper Chambers Law Suites Unlimited (UCLS) is a modern legal practice in Jamaica offering client-focused legal services. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Paralegal in Montego Bay who supports attorneys with case preparation, document drafting and file management in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and organize and review case files
• Prepare and format legal documents and maintain accurate records and deadlines
• Liaise with clients and external stakeholders, and schedule appointments and court dates
• Assist with administrative tasks related to case management

Required profile

• Solid understanding of law and legal procedures, able to apply legal principles to casework
• Certificate or diploma in Paralegal Studies, Law or a related field; a law degree is an asset
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal department, preferably in litigation or general practice
• Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail and confidentiality

Required skills

• Legal document preparation and review, including drafting, formatting and quality checking
• Strong research skills for gathering, analyzing and summarizing legal information
• Effective communication with attorneys, clients, courts and other stakeholders
• Proficiency with office productivity tools and legal document management software
