Sales Manager - Caribbean (Passenger Vehicles)

About the role

BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles and sustainable mobility solutions, is looking for an experienced Sales Manager for the Caribbean region. The role leads sales operations, drives business growth and strengthens BYD's market presence across the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate sales of automotive products (vehicles and/or components) in the Caribbean, formulating and executing sales strategies to meet targets
• Develop and manage dealer relationships and direct customers to build long-term cooperation
• Analyze market demand, industry trends and competitor activity to shape sales strategies
• Plan and run marketing strategies, events, trade shows and product launches
• Handle daily communication, follow-ups and contract negotiations with key clients and dealers
• Provide product training and market support, address customer feedback and complaints, and help retain customers
• Run market research and competitor analysis, track sales and marketing metrics (website traffic, conversion rates, ROI), and prepare regular reports
• Work with marketing, product and supply chain teams, and coordinate production and logistics for timely delivery and inventory

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, International Trade, Automotive Engineering or a related field preferred
• Over 5 years of sales experience in the automotive industry, with a preference for candidates with market expansion experience
• Fluency in English and Spanish; 75% travel required
• Extensive local market connections within government and enterprises

Required skills

• Strong sales negotiation, market insight and business development skills
• Familiarity with the automotive industry, dealer management and sales channels
• Data analysis and basic financial knowledge for price negotiations and contract management
