Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator

About the role

Digicel is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator (SITE) in Kingston. The role covers the operation, security and lifecycle management of on-premises and hybrid (Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365) server infrastructure, including Group Head Office requirements and support for technology teams across Digicel's markets. It also involves on-site physical support in Tier III data centres, with a significant part of the estate running on Linux and Unix.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on-premises Microsoft services: AD DS, DNS, DHCP, NPS, AD CS, SMTP relay and RDS
• Manage hybrid identity across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including sync, conditional access and MFA, and joiner/mover/leaver access
• Manage corporate Wi-Fi (Cisco Meraki) and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware vSphere)
• Administer Microsoft 365, subscriptions and licenses, and coordinate upgrades with Global IT Administrators
• Deploy patches and configurations via Configuration Manager and/or Intune
• Ensure backups are configured, monitored and tested, and support disaster recovery testing
• Manage monitoring, reporting, certificate lifecycles and incident/problem management with root cause analysis
• Plan and execute production changes, run health checks and take part in capacity planning
• Write PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks, and support AI-enabled platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot
• Maintain system hardening, ISO/IEC 27001 and ITGC audit support, and keep an up-to-date asset inventory and runbooks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering or a similar role
• An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and experience may be considered instead

Required skills

• Microsoft role-based certifications (AZ-800/AZ-801, AZ-104, MS-102) are an asset
• Linux certification (RHCSA or equivalent) is an asset
• ITIL 5 Foundation is desirable
• Preferred: Configuration Manager or Intune, Cisco Meraki, email/file archiving (e.g. Microsoft Purview), Azure, and familiarity with AI-assisted IT tools
