Finance Director – Lead Insurance & Investment Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to lead the financial management and performance of our insurance and investment businesses. Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with senior leadership to provide accurate financial insight and ensure strong governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance function, translating business objectives into financial plans and performance targets.
• Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and monitor actual performance against targets.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accurate management accounts and consolidated statements.
• Direct financial reporting and analysis for insurance operations, monitoring premiums, claims, reserves and underwriting performance.
• Supervise accounting and reporting for investment portfolios, supporting valuation, performance measurement and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor cash flows, liquidity, banking relationships and treasury activities, maintaining appropriate controls.
• Support capital planning, balance‑sheet management and solvency monitoring in collaboration with the CFO.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably within insurance or investment sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with CFO, CEO, actuarial, risk and business leadership teams.
• Experience in regulatory reporting, treasury management and capital planning.
