Senior R&D Formulation Expert – Epoxy Molding Compounds

About the role

We are seeking a senior R&D expert to lead formulation development for epoxy molding compounds (EMC) within a strategic industrial diversification project. The role will shape next‑generation polymer solutions for semiconductor encapsulation, working in a confidential, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level expertise in EMC formulation design and optimization.
• Optimize complex multi‑variable systems including raw materials, fillers, curing agents, ratios and molecular variants.
• Develop disruptive molecular approaches for next‑generation formulations.
• Integrate reliability requirements and processability constraints such as injection molding, curing cycles and thermal resistance.
• Support R&D teams in structuring formulation methodology and prioritisation.

Required profile

• PhD‑level engineer with 10–15+ years hands‑on experience in EMC R&D formulation.
• Background in a leading global EMC manufacturer (Top 10 preferred).
• Direct involvement in major industry transitions, e.g., halogen‑free or “Green EMC” developments.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor reliability tests (H3RB, MSL, thermal cycling, etc.).
• Ability to operate in an international and confidential setting.
