Bank Teller – Montego Bay (Fairview)

About the role

Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is looking for a dedicated Teller to join its Branch Operations team in Montego Bay (Fairview). The role focuses on delivering accurate core banking transactions while providing a superior client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process client deposits, withdrawals, RTGS/Wire Transfers, ACH, and foreign exchange transactions accurately.
• Issue and encash drafts, manager’s cheques, travellers’ cheques, and handle credit‑card and bill payments.
• Maintain cash vault duties, prepare cash shipments, and reconcile excess cash.
• Cross‑sell bank products, promote services, and refer clients to appropriate sales channels.
• Balance, image, and clear cheques, scan documents, and file processed work for verification.
• Ensure compliance with TTR/STR/UTR reporting and assist in verification of negotiable instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Knowledge of teller functions and POCA regulations is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional demeanor, high integrity, and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
