Assistant Manager - Financial Analyst

About the role

Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager – Financial Analyst to join its Corporate Accounting team. The role focuses on financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to support executive decision‑making and company‑wide investment strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute analytical reviews of operating expenses for main reporting entities (SBJ, SIJL, SIC).
• Produce financial reports for Management and the Board of Directors.
• Manage budgeting and financial planning systems, securing approval for annual budgets and three‑year projections.
• Research competitor financial data and assess profit‑center performance against economic conditions.
• Identify trends, prepare financial models, and forecast revenues and expenditures.
• Coordinate with finance team members to review forecasts and create business analyses.
• Drive process improvements, including standard and ad‑hoc reporting tools, dashboards, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Support team development through guidance, training, and career planning.

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA Level 3).
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics.
• Strong analytical, data‑gathering, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience presenting to senior executives and working independently in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word‑processing applications.
