Cash & Bank Application Analyst

About the role

Digicel, a digital connectivity and communications provider serving nine million customers across the Caribbean, Central and South America, is hiring a Cash & Bank Application Analyst in Kingston. The role acts as the main point of contact with the Treasury group and covers banking administration, cash forecasting, account setup and maintenance, and cash management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main contact with the Treasury group on bank accounts and banking relationships
• Receive, import and interface bank files into cash management applications
• Perform daily and period-end bank reconciliations and record adjustment entries
• Manage incoming receipts, credit/debit memos, chargebacks and unidentified or misapplied payments
• Support Treasury in cash flow forecasting and interpret Treasury reports
• Provide inputs to Finance for financial and operating analysis and modelling
• Identify discrepancies and fraudulent transactions and resolve them
• Maintain files and documentation according to company policy and accounting practices
• Coordinate the day-to-day billing process, liaising with customer and order management teams, and ensure bills are filed and received by Accounts by month-end
• Handle recharges and file closures, anticipate disbursements, update VAT rates, and raise credit notes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent
• Experience in a Treasury function and in cash management and multi-currency environments
• Strong understanding of the billing process
• Cash applications experience preferred, especially in BPM or services industries
• Knowledge of relevant geographic banking systems

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and financial acumen
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and manage time
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
