Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager

About the role

The Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager will drive profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio by designing and delivering tailored financial solutions to business and corporate clients. Working closely with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers, the role bridges client needs with the bank’s risk and credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and recommend terms, pricing, covenants and structures that align with sound credit practices.
• Prepare and present credit proposals in partnership with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers.
• Review assigned credit portfolio regularly to ensure timely renewals, extensions and compliance with credit quality thresholds.
• Liaise with Credit Administration and Credit Risk departments throughout the credit decision‑making process.
• Ensure all credit applications meet the Bank’s lending policies, the Banking Act and relevant regulations.
• Provide training, guidance and coaching to sales and credit teams.
• Prepare commitment letters for approved loans and support post‑approval documentation.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of the commercial banking market in Jamaica and key industry sectors.
• Understanding of the bank’s objectives, lending products, risk appetite and regulatory environment.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
