Group Treasury Operations Officer

About the role

The Group Treasury Operations Officer will support Sagicor Life Jamaica's investment portfolio by executing daily securities and treasury settlement transactions. The role ensures data integrity across multiple systems and provides timely pricing and reconciliation support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare GDT templates for daily uploads into the Clearwater system.
• Verify that all trades and transactions sent to Clearwater are accurately reflected.
• Monitor Recon Insight daily and respond to Clearwater queries within 24 hours.
• Track coupon payments and maturities, following up on outstanding items.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of securities registers, broker statements, Clearwater records, GDT templates and Bloomberg data.
• Provide Clearwater with variable bond prices and pricing information for overseas fixed‑income trades.
• Maintain the register of Sagicor Life Jamaica managed securities.
• Update, allocate and reconcile Group Treasury positions in Bloomberg.
• Monitor activity on overseas and local broker accounts to ensure all changes are captured.
• Support other settlement functions throughout the day and perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Studies or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a financial institution.
• Completion of the Jamaican Securities Course is an asset.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently on concurrent tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminal.
• Experience using Clearwater settlement system.
• Familiarity with GDT templates and Recon Insight.
• Advanced spreadsheet (Excel) and word‑processing skills.
