Vice President – Asset Management & Research

About the role

The Vice President – Asset Management & Research will lead the investment strategy, portfolio construction, and research architecture for a regional asset‑management platform. Reporting to senior leadership, this hybrid role in Kingston combines strategic oversight with hands‑on portfolio management to drive superior risk‑adjusted returns.

Key responsibilities

• Define and guide multi‑asset allocation across fixed income, equities, alternatives and multi‑asset portfolios.
• Design and implement portfolio construction frameworks for discretionary portfolios and investment funds.
• Oversee performance monitoring to ensure competitive absolute and risk‑adjusted returns.
• Ensure compliance with investment policy statements, regulatory limits and internal risk parameters.
• Lead research integration, aligning macro‑economic insights with portfolio decisions.
• Support business development initiatives to acquire new asset‑management clients.
• Provide leadership for collective investment schemes such as mutual funds and unit trusts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in multi‑asset portfolio management and investment research.
• Proven track record of delivering consistent risk‑adjusted performance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and risk frameworks governing asset‑management.
• Leadership experience in building and centralising research capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate across affiliated entities and influence investment thinking.
