Accounting Officer – Disbursement Operations (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Officer to join the Disbursement Operations team in Kingston. The role focuses on strengthening vendor reconciliation, expense governance, spend analytics and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency gains.
• Implement technology solutions to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
• Analyse supplier spend, payment history and procurement data to uncover savings and cost‑leakage opportunities.
• Prepare value‑opportunity reports with quantified benefits, risks and recommended actions for management.
• Assist with vendor ageing reconciliation, procurement and corporate credit‑card reconciliation and bank reconciliation.
• Track recurring expenses, ensure timely invoice processing and support business units with order and invoice tracking.
• Address and resolve queries related to disbursement processes promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance function.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Proficiency with word processing applications (e.g., Microsoft Word).
