Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Manager

About the role

PremierWaste is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager to lead its end‑to‑end AP and AR functions. This full‑time, on‑site position in Kingston will ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and effective cash‑flow management while supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee invoice verification, payment scheduling, customer billing, collections and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow related to payables and receivables and resolve billing or payment issues with operations and management.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, improve processes and support decision‑making.
• Review expense reports, ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and relevant financial regulations.

Required profile

• Strong finance and accounting background with experience managing both AP and AR functions.
• Proficiency in journal entries, general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
• Experience handling expense reports, invoice processing and vendor/customer account management.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify discrepancies and improve processes.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent professional experience.
• Prior experience in service, logistics or waste‑management industries is an advantage.
