Assistant Director of Nutrition Services

About the role

The Assistant Director of Nutrition Services supports the Director in daily operations of an Opaa! Food Management account, ensuring smooth production, compliance, and administrative processes across district facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange substitute staffing and cover on‑line positions as needed.
• Transport food products between district buildings and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Monitor HACCP processes, record hot and cold product temperatures, and ensure compliance with Opaa! recipes and menus.
• Maintain production records, reconcile daily tray counts with cash reports, and prepare cash receipts for deposit.
• Enter invoices, participation data, and inventory updates into the remote system daily.
• Consolidate weekly food orders and coordinate catering events to meet quality standards.
• Assist the DNS in supervising staff, handling performance issues, and providing training and cross‑training.
• Prepare monthly status reports and support marketing events in line with Opaa! guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience in food service or nutrition operations.
• Ability to manage substitute scheduling and cover multiple roles.
• Strong organizational skills for record‑keeping and inventory management.
• Capability to supervise kitchen staff and address workplace conflicts promptly.
