Assistant Formulation Technician

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Kingston supports the laboratory and production teams by preparing and mixing cosmetic and skincare batches, conducting routine tests, and assisting with product stability and performance evaluations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and mix formulation batches according to SOPs.
• Carry out routine laboratory tests and record accurate data.
• Package finished batches and ensure proper labeling.
• Assist with stability and performance evaluation studies.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Follow safety, quality, and documentation protocols.
• Contribute to research and development projects for new and existing products.

Required profile

• Laboratory and formulation experience in cosmetics or skincare.
• R&D experience supporting product testing and data collection.
• Ability to assist in technology transfer and scale‑up processes.
• Basic knowledge of cosmetic chemistry; diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or related field is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to follow established procedures.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
