Assistant Manager – Group Compliance

About the role

Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager to support its Enterprise Risk Management & Group Compliance team. The role focuses on monitoring regulatory, anti‑money laundering, sanctions and other compliance risks to ensure the Group meets all legal and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AML/CFT/CPF monitoring, investigations, alerts and case management activities.
• Manage sanctions screening, high‑risk client reviews and enhanced due‑diligence processes.
• Monitor regulatory obligations, filings, audits and ensure timely remediation.
• Conduct compliance reviews, gap assessments, control testing and system validation.
• Support implementation and testing of transaction monitoring and sanctions screening technology.
• Provide compliance guidance, training and advisory support to business units.
• Prepare compliance reports and risk assessments for senior management, regulators and the Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Law or related field.
• Minimum two years experience in a branch or compliance function within the financial industry.
• At least one year of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF, FATCA, CRS and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently with strong time‑management and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Experience in AML/CFT/CPF risk assessments and monitoring.
• Knowledge of sanctions screening and enhanced due‑diligence procedures.
• Familiarity with FATCA & CRS reporting requirements.
