Bank Teller – Dominica Drive

About the role

Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is looking for a dedicated Teller to join its Branch Operations team at the Dominica Drive location in Kingston. The role focuses on delivering accurate, professional banking services while providing an excellent client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process core banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, RTGS/Wire Transfers, ACH, and foreign exchange.
• Verify and handle client deposits from the Main Line and Quick Deposit Box.
• Issue and encash drafts, manager’s cheques, and traveller’s cheques.
• Process credit‑card and bill payments, and other non‑cash transactions.
• Maintain vault and treasury duties, including cash preparation for shipment and excess cash collection.
• Balance, image, and clear cheques and other documents for centralised processing.
• Assist with verification of negotiable instruments and ensure compliance with TTR/STR/UTR guidelines.
• Promote bank products and refer clients to appropriate sales channels.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Knowledge of teller functions and POCA regulations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with standard computer software packages (spreadsheets, word processing).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional communication, teamwork, honesty, and problem‑solving skills.
