Client Care Officer – Branch Operations

About the role

The Client Care Officer will be the front‑line representative of the branch, delivering high‑quality service to walk‑in clients and supporting branch operations. You will help grow the bank’s business by identifying cross‑sell opportunities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and direct walk‑in clients to the appropriate personnel.
• Achieve cross‑sell and referral targets by educating clients on suitable products and services.
• Manage cheque deposit box, verify deposit envelopes, and maintain night‑deposit logs.
• Print interim statements and process cheque‑book requests.
• Record returned cheques and assist with daily branch close‑out activities, including teller lock‑up and surprise cash counts.
• Provide relief as a Client Service Representative when needed.
• Ensure promotional materials are stocked and adhere to the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) without deviation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by branch management.

Required profile

• First degree in Business Management or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a customer‑service environment, preferably in a commercial bank.
• Good knowledge of the Bank’s policies, procedures and the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and complaint‑handling abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word‑processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word).
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
