Collections Operations Specialist

About the role

Sutherland is looking for a motivated Collections Operations Specialist to handle inbound and outbound communications, negotiate payments, and support customers with past‑due accounts. The role involves high‑volume interaction and requires strong attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Collect payments on past‑due accounts via phone, SMS, and email.
• Contact delinquent customers daily, negotiate payment arrangements, and record reasons for delinquency.
• Use tools such as Zendesk, Asana, Google Drive, and email to manage tasks and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience in collections and recovery, preferably mortgage or credit‑card portfolios.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, with clear diction.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, handle high volume of tasks, and adapt to US Pacific shift hours.
